THREE TALL QUEENS
Lindsey Kay has been stabbed. Twice. She's also been shot. Twice. One time in an H&M. But you wouldn't know that to look at her. Lindsey Kay is a manager, producer, and assistant who works with drag queens all over the city. She is the ultimate behind the scenes mover and shaker. But she's also been trapped in quicksand and struck by lightening, pursued by a hitman, and held hostage by a Yogi who just really liked her… energy. Join us for an evening of storytelling where some of New York City's most talented drag queens assume the role of Lindsey and share her stories. These tall tales may sound like fiction, but what do you believe? Three Tall Queens debuted in August 2019 at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre. Stay tuned for more dates. |
SUBMISSION
As a hurricane descends upon New York City, devoted Stephen discovers that his boyfriend, Blake, has been experimenting within the subculture of S&M under the pretense of research for a book. At the insistence of his sharp-tongue friend, Jack, Stephen confronts Blake’s infidelities and, ultimately, the man who has come between them. Submission has been produced by the Gallatin Theatre Troupe in 2013 and the Rapidfire Bootleg Theatre in 2015. A revised version of the play was presented by Theater for the New City in 2017 as part of their Scratch Night Reading Series. Cloudbusting Productions produced the revised version of Submission in 2018. |

WHAT ABOUT US: LIVING WITH LYMPHEDEMA
More people suffer from Lymphedema than MS, Muscular Dystrophy, ALS, Parkinson’s Disease, and AIDS. Combined. But we don’t talk about this incurable disease. WHAT ABOUT US: Living with Lymphedema brings you Tina Himaya’s story, from diagnosis to one hundred nights in hospitals to today, where she is an advocate for more research, funding, and visibility. Through song and storytelling, Tina finds her voice as a person living with Primary Lymphedema. She encourages those who suffer silently from this disease to stand up and make their stories known. This is her story, but it’s our fight. What About Us: Living with Lymphedema was presented at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre in January 2018 and March 2019 with all ticket proceeds doing to support the Lymphatic Education and Research Network. In 2020, What About Us made its Albany premiere on World Lymphedema Day. That footage was live-streamed on August 21st as part of a Zoom Watch Party benefiting LE&RN. |
THE TRUE MARTINI
What begins as an innocent cocktail party turns into the less-than-heartwarming story of a young man and the couple who seeks to seduce him. The True Martini debuted as part of the Midwinter Madness Short Play Festival in 2014. |
THEA K. LAMMERS in A DEATH STAR IS BORN
Celebrated for her killer vocals and vicious wit, popular nightlife performer Thea K. Lammers stars in her debut club act A Death Star Is Born. You only have two options as a girl: ingenue or villain. Nice or bitch. With musical direction by Patrick DeGennaro and writing by Justin McDevitt, Thea reflects on her villainous side, and the limited roles that exist for women. Combining humorous antics and fugues of fantasy, the Queen of Mean will show you what it really means to be a B-I-T-C-H in a mansplained world. Join her, if you dare. |
